Use a sharp, well-lit photo and keep the subject easy to find. If a person should look recognizable, show an unobstructed face. If the scene needs action, a normal standing photo works better than staging the action yourself.
Check mirrors, windows, mail, school names, addresses, screens, and documents before upload. Send only the references the selected story requests.
Use photos you own or have permission to use. An adult must authorize every upload, including a minor's photo. The rules prohibit public-figure impersonation, deceptive or exploitative edits, sleeping-person captures, and unsafe staging. Community listing also requires an approved provider safety result; report anything that should not be public.
