Empty-room photo guide

Keep the room familiar and the frame private.

This guidance is for planning and staging outside Glimmerproof. The site does not accept or inspect photos.

Include

One readable action area

Show the full surface, doorway, furniture edge, or floor path where a single fictional action would happen.

Remove

People and identifying details

Keep faces, family photos, names, mail, labels, addresses, screens, calendars, school items, and security devices out of frame.

Light

Use the room’s ordinary steady light

Avoid flash glare, flicker, colored effects, candles, flames, and hot appliances. Keep the setup cool, stable, and empty.

If the frame feels wrong

Use the smallest safe repair.

Step back for a complete doorway or surface, remove extra props, turn on normal room lighting, or move the concept to a quieter supported area.

Keep real people and pets outside the setup. Never stage around a sleeping person, lit fireplace, active cooking area, blocked exit, glass, cords, sharp items, unstable furniture, or private documents.
